PCSoft designs and markets WINDEV, a DevOps development environment distributed in 146 countries. The goal of the development environment is to allow its users to develop faster, by removing all the unnecessary aspects of development and by making new technologies immediately accessible to everyone.
Prerequisites (Who is this training course intended for?)
Target audience: developers and computer science students who want to acquire the skills needed to use WINDEV in their daily work, allowing them, among other things, to save time and optimize their code production.
Prerequisite: there are no prerequisites in terms of academic level; however, candidates must master the following concepts:
- Analysis (Merise or UML) and databases
- Program event management (algorithms)
- Error and exception handling
- Variables, operators and expressions
- Knowledge of development with one or more programming languages (C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, Access, VB .NET, etc.)
Practical information
Professional Certification
- "Developing applications with WINDEV" certification registered in the France Compétences Specific Directory under code RS7303 (registered on September 24, 2025).
- Issued by PC Soft Informatique.
- Eligible for the CPF (Personal Training Account).
- Analyze a relational data model
- Identify WLangage statements
- Interpret segments of WLangage code
- Select control types and software structures
- Associate structured file formats
- Identify code analysis and control tools
The assessment takes the form of a digital questionnaire completed remotely and asynchronously. In a test made up of 2 parts, the candidate is assessed on the skills acquired during the training:
- An MCQ part focused on fundamental technical know-how: the candidate is tested on their understanding of the development logic specific to the WINDEV environment (MCQ questions and/or short answers).
- A part based on contextualized application scenarios: the candidate is tested on their ability to make technical choices in a realistic business development context (mini case studies, code excerpts, simplified environments or application trees to analyze).
The jury is made up of two professional WINDEV expert developers, external to the training organization and to PCSoft.
The certification performance metrics will be published shortly.
Detailed Program
The instructor uses the course materials, which are tailored to the training objectives (the materials are provided at the beginning of the course). This course support material is divided into subjects.
All of these methods and exercises will help you put into practice what you have learned, when you return to your company.
Each subject is based on 3 axes:
The trainer gives a theoretical presentation of the topic, followed by any questions and answers.
Practical application exercise (individual work) to be completed within a set time limit. The trainer remains available to help and provide additional explanations.
Correction of the exercise, with all necessary explanations and any questions and answers. The trainer makes sure that each trainee has fully understood the exercise before continuing.

In-person training in Paris and the Île-de-France region, or online training? Which one should I choose?
In-person training in Paris and the Île-de-France region provides an opportunity for trainees to interact with one another. Everyone contributes to the discussion, and the conversation, both technical and non-technical, continues during breaks and lunch.
When it comes to difficult concepts, the instructor can easily focus on them. It also makes it easier to "gauge" expectations.
Human interaction allows us to identify behaviors, postures, and attitudes and to better interpret them. There are smiles and frowns.
They are visible when the instructor is in the room.
The trainer's varied approach sets the pace for the day: explanations, exercises, corrections, humorous remarks, and so on.
(Find out how an in-person training session takes place)
In terms of timing: for example, with a 5-full-day (35-hour) WINDEV "Fundamentals 1+2" training course, you'll have everything you need to be up and running with WINDEV!
You'll leave the training center with a USB drive to save your exercises, a notepad, a pen, and a PCSoft-branded case to store everything.
Distance learning is ideally suited to the current needs of businesses.
In fact, distance learning offers many advantages: no travel (plane, train, car, subway...), no traffic jams, no parking, no lodging costs, etc., meaning no hassle or travel expenses to the Île-de-France region (considerable savings in both time and money).
You can enjoy the comfort of your home or office on "your computer," in "your" environment!
The number of participants is limited to 6 (9 for in-person sessions) in order to encourage interaction and participation from everyone.
This way, you can maintain a personal connection even from a distance: you can share your screen with the instructor and ask questions whenever you want, thanks to state-of-the-art collaboration and communication tools.
You can even interact with other participants to make the training sessions even more dynamic and enriching.
PCSoft has invested in new methods of distance and digital learning.
Since 2021, PCSoft has been developing fully digital training programs.
We have therefore revamped our in-person training courses so that we can also offer them remotely, still live.
