We are permitted to process your personal data to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, our contractual (including pre-contractual) obligations to you to provide the services you have subscribed for, and for our own legitimate interests.

PC SOFT does NOT sell, does NOT rent, does NOT lend the personal data you provide.

The phone numbers you indicate are NOT and will NOT be used for commercial purposes that you haven't agreed to.

Unless you object, you may receive technical and commercial information by mail and/or email.

Your email address will only be used by PC SOFT.

Your email address will NOT be shared with other companies.

1. What types of information are collected by the COMPANY?

When you (the CUSTOMER) purchase a subscription from us (PC SOFT or the COMPANY) and you use the software you purchased or subscribed to (the SOFTWARE), the COMPANY, as data controller, collects information that can be used to identify the CUSTOMER. This information is mandatory for the use of the SOFTWARE.

This includes:

  • Identifiers and contact details, such as:
    • name,
    • email address,
    • postal or physical address,
    • country.
  • Commercial and transaction details, such as:
    • payment/billing information,
    • purchased licenses,
    • the software used and its version number,
    • subscription ID.
  • For SaaS versions of the SOFTWARE, analytics or other electronic network activity, such as:
    • IP address of the computer used to install the SOFTWARE,
    • device type,
    • different connection periods,
    • usage of the SOFTWARE and of applications built within the SOFTWARE, including number of end users.

2. How often is data collected?

Data is collected when you purchase a subscription to a SOFTWARE. When using a SaaS version of the SOFTWARE, the following personal information is collected regularly:

  • Date and time of connection
  • IP address
  • Details of the connected device
  • Software product details: Name, version, internal version, PID
  • Usage of the SOFTWARE

3. How is collected data used?

The data is processed for the execution of the contact between the COMPANY and the CUSTOMER, and for the COMPANY’s legitimate interests. Collected data is used:

  • for billing purposes
  • for analytics purposes, to update and improve the SOFTWARE, and to recommend tools tailored to the CUSTOMER and end users’ needs
  • to detect, prevent or address technical or security problems, fraudulent, deceptive or illegal activities, misuse of the SOFTWARE

Collected data is not shared with third parties other than technical intermediaries.

4. Where is personal data stored?

Your personal information is stored on PC SOFT's servers in the EU and the servers in the EU of companies we engage to provide services to us.

5. How long does PC SOFT keep my information?

When you register for a SaaS account, we process and keep most personal information we process on your behalf for as long as you are an active user of our SOFTWARE. We delete certain personal information when no longer needed for business purposes. Additionally, there is some personal information we need to retain even after you close your account to comply with business and legal requirements, such as personal information related to our contract and business transactions with you. Unless otherwise required by law, we retain your contact details for a maximum of three years after your last interaction with us.

Where we process personal information for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the information until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests). We also keep a permanent record of the fact that you have asked us not to send you direct marketing or to process your information so that we can respect your request in the future.

6. Your rights

With respect to the processing of your personal information, you benefit from several rights in accordance with the applicable regulations:

  • to access to your personal information;
  • to correct your existing personal information;
  • to delete your personal information, if this is not in conflict with other regulatory or contractual requirements;
  • to obtain the portability of your personal information;
  • to oppose to the processing of your personal information;
  • to limit the processing of your personal information;
  • to withdraw your consent, if applicable;
  • to raise a concern to the COMPANY or to French Data Protection Authority (CNIL)
    (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés).
